CHELSEA PARMER

Chelsea Parmer is the Head Flag Football Coach at Godby HS (2014-present). Previously, she was the Head Coach at Leon HS (2012-2013) and assisted at Leon (2009-2011). She has co-directed the Capital City Classic with Ricky Hufty since 2012 when they took it over in its second year after Tournament founder Jeff Martin retired after the inaugural 2011 Season. Chelsea played for Leon HS from 2004-2008 winning two state championships as a player and has coached in four other state finals appearances as a coach (Leon HS 2009, 2011; Godby HS 2014, 2016).

JEFF MARTIN

Jeff Martin was the Head Coach at Leon HS from 2006-2007 and won a state championship in 2007 with Chelsea Parmer as his QB and LB. Coach Martin was also the Head Coach at Godby HS from 2009-2011 where he founded/established the Capital City Classic in his final year of a very successful 20+ year coaching career. He wanted to establish a girl’s high school flag football tournament as there were none at the time and he knew this would help in the continued growth of the sport. He had no idea that his 8 team tournament would soon become the largest high school girl’s flag football tournament in the nation. Following his retirement, he passed the reins of the tournament on to Ricky Hufty and Chelsea Parmer who have run the tournament since that time. Coach Martin is still very involved in the tournament and the sport as a whole and will always play a big roll in the CCC.
